The winter attractions at Lanier Islands are back for the 2025 holiday season!
The drive-through light show from years past has been replaced with a walk-through light display known as Lakeside Lights Spectacular.
And if you want to play in the snow, License to Chill Snow Island is back in its familiar format, with a few small changes.
Quick facts about the Lanier Islands winter attractions (complete details below):
♦ Magical Nights of Lights will be on view daily until January 6, 2026 — and then will shift to weekend-only hours through January 19, 2026, plus the Monday holidays like MLK Day. The lights come on at 5 p.m., and closing time varies by day.
♦ License to Chill Snow Island will be offering folks a way to play in the snow, go snow tubing, ice skate, and more. It is open daily through January 6, 2026 — and then shifts to weekend-only hours through February 22, 2026. (It is also open on Monday holidays MLK Day and Presidents Day.)
The attractions are open on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.
Remember that you’ll also pay $20 for parking.

Magical Nights of Lights
This is a drive-thru event and pricing is per vehicle, starting at $35 (and a bit higher on weekends and peak dates).
You’ll find illuminated tunnels, a three-story wall of lights, and other high-tech displays. Everything is set to music.

License to Chill Snow Island
Snow Island is a series of attractions that let you play in the snow, ice skate, ride carnival rides, and go snow-tubing down Blizzard Mountain — an 8-story high, snow-covered slope.
You’ll also find visits with Santa, a cafe and snack shop, cocktail bar, and holiday gift shop.
The hours are different by day, with expanded hours on weekends and school holidays. Your best bet is to check the color-coded calendar of daily hours on the website.
The attraction is open every day from Nov. 19th to January 4th — including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.
After that, it has weekend hours only.
Note that the daily passes do not include the gate fee of $20.
Snow Island Day Pass
This is a one-day, unlimited pass for Snow Tubing on Blizzard Mountain, Snow Play Area, Ice Rink, and Amusement Rides. It does not include admission to Lakeside Lights Spectacular.
