The holiday season is here, and for many families that will mean choosing a Christmas tree.
While there will soon be tree lots in parking lots and on corners everywhere, we’re focusing on Christmas tree farms that are within an easy drive from metro Atlanta, and that offer a fun, seasonal, outdoor excursion.
Many of these farms offer so much more than Christmas trees — including hayrides, hot cocoa, visits with Santa, petting zoos, or other fun experiences.
TIPS:
• Before you get in the car, be sure to call ahead or check the farm’s status and daily hours online.
• Shop early for the best selection. The farms will close for the season when they’re out of trees.
• If you’re visiting a farm for a special experience (Santa visit, hayride) please double-check and verify it’s happening that day — because things change.
Do you have a Christmas tree farm or large lot that you’d like to have featured at the top of our list?
