It’s a time honored Christmas tradition — having a photo taken with Santa Claus. But did you know there are quite a few opportunities to meet Santa without paying for an expensive photo package?
We’re listing all the free Santa photo opps we can find around Atlanta and suburbs, for the 2020 holiday season. It’s a day-by-day format, in chronological order.
It’s still early in the season, though, so the list will continue to grow.
Last year, we had over 100 free photo opps. This year is a bit different, because of social distancing. But we’re still finding clever events, like photos in front of a window to Santa’s workshop.
If you know of other free Santa photo events in metro Atlanta, you can send the details to editor@atlantaonthecheap.com and we’ll add them.
Things to know
- This day-by-day list includes photo opportunities for both people and pets
- These photo opps go right up until Christmas Eve — so you have plenty of time!
- There are a few special events, like Spanish-speaking Santas and low-sensory experiences for special needs families
- Some of the events require that you bring your own camera (or phone) and take your own pictures
- Remember, there may be a line (but some venues let you reserve a time slot)
- Some of the pet photo events are hosted by shelters and animal welfare organizations that would really like you to make a donation of cash or pet food
