Note: While the date of the main event has passed, you can visit Sparkle Village, a FREE holiday display that is open through New Year’s Day.
Sparkle Village features a collection of holiday-themed miniature houses, decorated with lights. These six-foot-tall wooden houses are created by local businesses, schools, and nonprofits.
You can see them at City Springs complex. Just set your GPS for 1 Galambos Way, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
There is 2 hours of free parking in surface spots, and paid parking in the underground garage.
The Sparkle Sandy Springs celebrations returns for 2022! It all takes place on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at the City Springs campus. There are multiple components to this year’s festivities, and we have them all listed below.
The festivities begin on Sunday at 4 p.m., with the parade stepping off at 6 p.m. (see details below).
Holiday Concert
The musical entertainment features The Rupert’s Orchestra — performing on the City Green From 4:30 to 6 p.m.
Food Trucks
From 4 to 7 p.m., food vendors will be dishing up meals along Blue Stone Road.
Sparkle Holiday Gift Market
Shop for gifts or for yourself, from 4 to 7 p.m! The vendor booths will be lined up along Blue Stone Rd, at the edge of the City Green.
Sparkle Parade
The parade steps off at 6 p.m. We don’t have route details yet. Last year, it started at the corner of Mount Vernon Hwy and Lake Forest Drive. and continued down Mount Vernon to the City Green.
Tree Lighting
The parade concludes with a menorah lighting ceremony at 6:40 p.m. and a tree lighting ceremony at 6:50 p.m. It also ushers in the Sparkle Village, a month-long display of miniature lit homes. These six-foot-tall wooden houses are decorated by local businesses, schools, and nonprofits.
Event Parking
You’ll find plenty of FREE parking nearby — including in the City Springs underground parking areas, and at local banks and churches. There is a parking map and list of lots online. There is a fee to park underground. Surface parking is free, but is limited to two hours.
