Come to Colony Square during the 2022 holiday season for a festive experience. The Square is hosting events that include a one day winter festival, tree lighting, an nightly light show, and holiday pop-up bar.
Note: It looks like there will NOT be a skating rink at Colony Square in 2022.
The holiday event line-up is detailed below.
Colony Square is a mixed-use development in midtown Atlanta, located on Peachtree St. between 14th Street and 15th Street.
Tree lighting ceremony & 2-day winter festival
The Lighting at Colony Square takes place on December 2nd and 3rd. The Friday night event is a tree lighting and holiday concert. On Saturday, you’re invited to an all-day, family friendly celebration.
These events are FREE to attend.
The Schedule of Events
Friday, December 2nd
5 to 7 p.m. — holiday entertainment featuring live music by A-Town List, festive photo opps, and more. The tree lighting happens at The Plaza around 6 p.m., with a countdown by Santa Claus.
Saturday, December 3rd
12 to 3 p.m. — festivities on the square include live music, family fun, and more. Activities are spread between The Plaza and The Front Loop.
Nightly tree lighting shows
December 3rd to 23rd, 2022
At the top of each hour from 5 to 8 p.m., you can watch midtown’s tree come alive with lights and holiday music.

North Pole Pop-up Bar
The North Pole, a new seasonal pop-up bar, will be open from Wednesday, November 16th through Friday, December 23rd, 2022.
The Grove Terrace will be transformed into an igloo-inspired speakeasy, where you can enjoy a specialty holiday cocktail menu. Note that it is a cashless bar. No food is served there, but you can visit other onsite restaurants for dining.
The merry North Pole pop-up bar will be open to the public Wednesdays through Saturdays, from 5 to 1 1p.m. Entry is first come, first served for visitors 21 or older, and capacity is limited to 50 guests at a time.
There is no admission fee, however the cost of beverages will vary.
The bar will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.
Capacity is limited to 50 people at a time.
This is a cashless bar.
