Come to Atlantic Station for the lighting of the 50-foot Christmas tree on the Atlantic Green! The annual Light the Station event is back and bigger than ever — and it’s followed by Celebration at the Station, an ongoing nightly event that is sure to delight.
The kickoff and tree lighting ceremony happens on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 7 to 9 p.m. and it is completely FREE to attend. You’ll find musical performances, fireworks, the first Snow Show of the season, an all-new animated Jumbotron video, and more. If you can’t attend in-person, you can watch from the comfort of your living room. Light the Station will be telecast on 11ALIVE TV at 7 p.m.
After the November 20th kick-off date, the fun continues all season long with Celebration at the Station, a nightly event that will recur through January 2, 2022.
FREE! Celebration at the Station
This year’s Celebration at the Station is a FREE nightly event that runs from Nov. 20th through January 2, 2022 on and around the Atlantic Green.
It is a stunning holiday show set to a soundtrack provided by Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. It integrates the 50-foot Christmas tree, the lights surrounding the Atlantic Green, the Jumbotron video, and the Snow Shows. All of this transforms the Station into a winter wonderland — and it’s all completely FREE.
Celebration occurs on the hour every evening, seven days a week. From Monday thru Saturday, hours are 6 to 10 p.m. On Sunday nights, hours are 6 to 9 p.m.
According to the website, it’s happening on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day as well.

While you’re there, check out the Snow Shows!
Okay, so the last time we were there, the “snow” looked conspicuously like soap suds — but it may still be a magical experience for the little ones, who may not have seen much real snow in Atlanta.
Snow Shows happen at the top of the hour from 6 to 10 p.m. (the last one is at 9 p.m. on Sundays).
