If you chronically forget the whipped cream or cranberry sauce, or if you can’t resist a last minute run to the store, this list is for you!
As always, you’ll want to quickly check with the location nearest you, just to make sure it’s not the outlier that doesn’t participate in holiday hours.
First of all, here are the chains you can cross right off your list, because they are CLOSED for Thanksgiving 2021:

Atlanta area grocery stores open on Thanksgiving in 2021
These are listed roughly in order of how common they are throughout Atlanta and suburbs. They are not in alphabetic order.

Most Kroger stores will be open on Thanksgiving Day.
Individual store hours may vary, so call your preferred location for details.
Last year, the chain set standard hours from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. We expect this to be the case again in 2021.
Stores are open, but some will have modified hours for 2021 — and some will close as early as 2 p.m.
The website lists the hours each store will be open for the holiday, but you still may want to call ahead to verify.
Last year, we clicked on 4 local stores (2 ITP and 2 OTP) and each had hours listed as 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for Thanksgiving.
Also, in 2019 you could order through Amazon Prime on Thanksgiving Day till 2 p.m. We haven’t verified this for 2021, so don’t count on it.
Locations in Doraville, Duluth, Johns Creek, Riverdale, and Suwanee.
Last year, the Korean chain was open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
Last year, we shot them a note via social media and they said they were open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
We will update for 2021 if new info becomes available.
Last year, the national grocery delivery service was delivering orders from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Atlanta.
According to the chain’s Holiday FAQ webpage, all locations are open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Make a mental note now that they are closed on Christmas Day.

In 2019, two locations on the South side said they were maintaining their 24-hour schedule over the holiday.
