Thanksgiving 2020 is destined to be a different kind of holiday.
The info below is from last year, but we are in the process of updating it for 2020.
Please be safe this holiday season!
The CDC has issued guidelines on how to have safer holiday celebrations during the 2020 season.
You can read them here.
Don’t want to cook on Thanksgiving Day? Who can blame you! We’ve put together a list of restaurants in budget-conscious price ranges that are open on Thanksgiving. Some require reservations, others want you to just show up and wait for a table.
Before you head out, please verify details like hours and reservation policy. We aim for accurate information, but things change, and we don’t want your holiday to be ruined.
If you don’t see an option you like here, you can try Open Table. The reservation booking website lets you easily search for open reservation times.

Atlanta restaurants that are open on Thanksgiving Day
It’s practically an Atlanta bucket list item to eat Thanksgiving dinner at The Colonnade at least once in your life! Open on Thanksgiving from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and offering a four-course traditional turkey dinner for those who want it. If you’d rather skip the turkey, you can choose a different option for the main course, including The Colonnade’s famous fried chicken. (Steak, salmon, ham, and pork loin are other options.) You can’t reserve your table here, so plan to show up earlier than you want to eat and hang out in the spacious lounge with a cocktail or two.
Mary Mac’s Tea Room

Mary Mac’s doesn’t accept reservations for small groups. According to the website, reservations are available Mon-Thurs for groups of 8 or more — it doesn’t say whether Thanksgiving Day is excluded under this policy. There’s also a policy that all parties must be complete before being seated — so you can’t send someone early to hold the table.
