Zipcar offers free ride-shares: book on Tuesday, Nov. 11th for the next day

 

To redeem the offer:
Open the Zipcar app and look for cars with the gemstone icon (💎) and $0 pricing to snag a car for errands, appointments, or a fall daytrip. 

 

This info was received in a media alert. 
When we asked about the odds of finding a free car in the app, we were told that one 1 in 20 cars would be available to book for free on Nov. 11th. 
Clearly, you need to find a car in a location near you, and we don’t know how the free cars will be distributed. 

Zipcar offers flexible, on-demand car rentals by the hour or day, ideal for city dwellers who don’t need a car daily. 
You join as a member, reserve a car via the app, unlock it with your phone, and return it to the same spot when done.

 

How to get started
• Sign up online with a valid driver’s license. Many applicants are approved instantly.
• Membership costs: $9/month or $90/year, plus a one-time $15 application fee.
• Once approved, you can book a car immediately using the Zipcar app.

 

• Zipcars are parked throughout Midtown, Buckhead, Downtown, and near Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.
• You must return the car to the same location where you picked it up.
• Choose from compact sedans, SUVs, vans, and luxury vehicles depending on your needs.
