World of Illumination, the producer of the world’s largest animated light show, is unveiling TWO new holiday drive-thru experiences in 2021.
The light shows will take place at Six Flags White Water (in Marietta) and at Atlanta Motor Speedway (in Hampton, GA).
Both are open now and run through January 2, 2022 — although last year’s show, titled Candy Rush, was extended through the third week of January, due to popular demand.
Each show has a different theme and is a completely different experience, so you can go to one or both.
Rockin’ Christmas is the theme at Six Flags White Water.
It features a DJ Santa, with his sidekick, the Little Drummer Boy, spinning tunes for disco-dancing candy canes. A 500-foot long illuminated tunnel serves as Santa’s magic portal.
Arctic Adventure is the theme at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
It is a polar-themed extravaganza hosted by a 32-foot tall snowman named Sunny and a host of whimsical winter characters. A simulated snowfall adds to the immersive nature of the event.
Both shows feature millions of spectacular lights and hundreds of animated displays, synced to popular music and holiday hits. Both are designed to be enjoyed from the safety and comfort of your vehicle. They are each about one mile in length and take from 25 to 30 minutes to drive through slowly.
Santa Claus will make an appearance on Magical Mondays, as well as on holidays — except for Christmas Eve, when Mrs. Claus will fill in for him.
