Come to Colony Square during the 2025 holiday season for a festive experience. The Square is hosting events that include a tree lighting event plus nightly lightshows.
Note: It looks like there will NOT be a skating rink at Colony Square in 2025.
The holiday event line-up is detailed below.
All events listed here are FREE to attend.
Colony Square is a mixed-use development in midtown Atlanta, located on Peachtree St. between 14th Street and 15th Street.

Tree lighting ceremony
The Lighting at Colony Square takes place Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 6 to 8 p.m.
This is primarily a standing-room only event. There isn’t space for lawn chairs.
Event Schedule
- 6-8pm: Experience a holiday spectacular celebration featuring live music from A-Town A-List, festive drinks, photo opportunities, jolly entertainment + more.
- 7:55pm: Gather around The Plaza stage to kick off the official ceremony with host Karyn Greer from WSB-TV. Countdown to the lighting of our magnificent tree with Santa + our honorary tree lighters from Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Nightly tree lighting shows
December 5th to 25th, 2025
At the top of each hour from 5 to 8 p.m., you can watch midtown’s tree come alive with lights and holiday music.

**Please be advised, Tree Lighting Show will NOT be available at the times below, due to other scheduled events:
Holiday Movies: December 10-12 AND December 17-19 from 7-8 pm
Winter Squares
From December through February, The Plaza at Colony Square will feature 12 Winter Squares that you can use for FREE. They are first-come, first-served, and there are blackout dates when the Squares are not available during scheduled events.
Each Winter Square includes a cozy fire pit and comfortable seating.
No outside food or beverage is allowed, but you’re encouraged to bring take-out from one of the onsite restaurants.

The fire pits can only be turned on while the Concierge is on duty.
Visit the concierge desk at the base of Building 300 for assistance.
In general, the operating hours will be:
* Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
* Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
* Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Winter Squares are NOT available to the public during select hours when other events are taking place.
