It may still feel like summer, but Atlanta is gearing up for a season of Oktoberfest celebrations! We can’t promise you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to Bavaria, but these events are definitely a great way to have some fall fun this September and October.
The best thing about our local breweries is that many of their events have FREE admission. You’ll just need your wallet for food and drink. We’ve noted wherever there’s a small cover charge.

Bluesberry & Beer Festival
Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025
Downtown Norcross & Betty Mauldin Park
This is not technically an Oktoberfest celebration — but we’re including it for the beer, and because it’s happening this year in the fall after being rained out last spring.
There’s a full day of FREE concerts at this festival, and you can see the music lineup here.
Chalktoberfest
Oct. 11 and 12, 2025
Marietta Square
This unusual beer & chalk festival is an annual tradition in downtown Marietta.
It features a craft beer festival, as well as two days of live music and plenty of food.
Everything except the beer festival is FREE.
If you want to drink, your ticket buys you unlimited samples of 120 beers, seltzers, and ciders — plus over 25 wines — and a souvenir tasting cup.
The chalk art is also a highlight — you can watch the work of professional chalk artists unfold in front of your eyes, and try your own hand in the community chalk spot.
Well worth the drive out to Marietta!
