Brook Run Park will be all decked out in lights again this holiday season. The city of Dunwoody says they have three times as many lights this year — a total of 75,000 of them!
There will be a festive kickoff event on Wednesday, December 1st, from 5 to 8 p.m. Dunwoody’s mayor will flip the switch and illuminate the brilliant display after dark, around 6 p.m. The celebration is FREE to attend. You can expect free hot cocoa, character appearances (last year it was Elsa, Olaf, and the Frozen crew), carolers, and holiday photo opps.
The theme for the 2021 light display is Hollywood Holidays, with decorations inspired by popular holiday movies.
The lights will be on through Friday, December 31st, in the playground area of Brook Run Park. They come on around 5 p.m. each night, with the Mega Tree music starting at 6 p.m., and the park closes at 10 p.m. These dates have been extended to run through New Year’s Eve.
Brook Run Park is located at 4770 N. Peachtree Rd in Dunwoody.
More info here on the city’s calendar and the Facebook event page.
