
June is winding down and we’re just days away from Independence Day. And that means there are already chances to see spectacular fireworks and drone shows.
Across metro Atlanta, several communities kick off the holiday season early , giving you a chance to enjoy the festivities on your own schedule.
These early shows offer all the excitement of the Fourth of July, so don’t hesitate to take one in this weekend.
We’re highlighting patriotic light shows happening from Friday, June 26 to Sunday, June 29, 2026.

Early fireworks shows in June
♦ Stone Mountain Park: 250th Drone & Light Show

Thursday, June 25 to Sunday, June 28, 2026
FREE, but parking fee applies
The 250th Drone & Light Show features an all-new program honoring the 250th anniversary of the United States and commemorating the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
The show includes a fully integrated Drone & Light experience, a special salute to the troops, Fire Drones synchronized with flames, sparks, and motion for a mesmerizing pyrotechnic display, and an epic fireworks finale.
While the light show is FREE in June, you’ll pay for parking unless you have an annual pass.
And starting July 1st, there will be a $5 ticket required for the light show.
♦ Cobb County: Festival & Drone Show

Cobb County celebrates 250 years of American independence with a family-friendly festival and a patriotic drone light show that will light up the night sky.
It features live entertainment, food trucks, and more.
For the kids, there is rock climbing, a petting zoo, face painting, and other activities.

♦ Loganville: Celebration, Concert, & Fireworks
Saturday, June 27, 2026
West Walton Park

Get an early start on the celebration with this event in Walton County!
There will be games and activities for the kids, food vendors on site, and a DJ providing music until the headline band — Bad Medicine — takes the stage at 7:30 p.m.
The fireworks follow the concert.

The music starts at 7 p.m., featuring a love concert by Fly Betty.

The city of Morrow hosts its annual Freedom Fest celebration on Saturday, July 27, 2026. This FREE and family-friendly event takes place from 5 to 11 p.m.
You’ll find an interactive kids zone with plenty of activities for children.
There will also be live music, plus food vendors on site, or you can bring your own snacks.
Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy!

♦ Woodstock: Festival & Fireworks at First Baptist Church

6:30 to 10 p.m.

The event is FREE to attend and open to the public.
It takes place in the church parking lot.
There will be live music, plus food trucks, bounce houses for the kids, and more.
The evening ends with fireworks and a live orchestra at 9:30 p.m.
Bring your lawn chairs, and enjoy an incredible night with your friends and family.
