You’ll have plenty of chances to get artsy in 2021, with a series of FREE exhibits hosted by the Alpharetta Arts Center.
Each rotating gallery exhibit has a limited run, but we’ll remind you before each one opens. (Sign up for our free daily newsletter and never miss a free event!)
Some of the exhibits feature receptions, artist talks, or artwork for purchase.

Event schedule at Alpharetta Arts Center
From the Artist’s Studio: Michael Dillon
Dates: June 11 – July 23
Reception: Friday, June 25 from 5 – 7 pm
Artist’s Talk: July 7
Michael Dillon is a sculptor who works in bronze, aluminum, stainless steel, and carved stone. His exhibit will include several of his sculptures, examples of his intricate railings, maquettes from previous works featuring hands-on interactivity, and images that tell the story of his production process. Dillon’s work can presently be seen on the Alpharetta Walking Tour of Public Art. His forge is in Milton, GA.
Let’s Face It: Portrait Exhibition
Dates: July 26 – October 8
Reception: August 14
The show will focus on the many ways that artists portray people and themselves in varied 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional media — including but not limited to drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, and fiber art.

A Slice of Life: Ordinary Beauty
Dates: October 18 through November 29
This exhibit takes a fresh look at the mundane, the boring, the practical, the everyday, the routine, and the ho-hum. It seeks to honor the extraordinary found in the ordinary.

Artists Holiday Market 2021
Dates: December 3 and 4 from 10 am – 6 pm
Arts Alpharetta is hosting its second annual Holiday Artists Market! It’s an opportunity for you to purchase and give art as gifts during the holiday season. This is a cash-and-carry sale, so come prepared.
Artists: you may submit an application for a booth set-up where you can display and sell small works (no larger than 16 inches in any dimension), to participate in this seasonal retail opportunity. This is an open call until November 3, 2021.
