Come to the Kids Bike Safety Rodeo this Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Brook Run Park. It is FREE to attend.
The event is from 8 to 10 a.m. and you can drop in anytime — just come to the Amphitheater parking lot.
Brook Run Park is located at:
4770 North Peachtree Road
Dunwoody, GA 30338
Kids age 5 to 14 should come with their bikes and helmets, as this is an interactive event designed to build confidence and teach safe riding habits in a playful, welcoming environment.
Participants will receive a formal Certificate of Completion signed by city officials. Snacks and refreshments will be available.
Here’s what’s happening:
Bike handling and safety skill stations
Learn road signs, hand signals, and basic traffic awareness
Ride through a fun skills and obstacle course
Helmet fit checks (free helmets available while supplies last)
Basic bike mechanical checks to ensure bikes are safe to ride
Meet local bike safety volunteers and police officers
What to bring:
A working bicycle
A helmet
A water bottle
Closed-toe shoes
A parent or responsible adult – children must be supervised
Stick around after the Rodeo!
Immediately following the rodeo at 10:00 AM, join in the Community Bike Ride on the Dunwoody Trailway—a relaxed, family-friendly group ride open to riders of all ages and abilities. It’s a great next step for kids to practice their new skills!
This event is made possible with the support of:City of Dunwoody Parks & Recreation, Dunwoody Police Department, Safe Kids DeKalb, DeKalb Fire Rescue, and the Georgia Safe Routes to School Resource Center.
