The City of Dunwoody will host a grand opening ceremony for Two Bridges Park on Saturday, May 6, 2023. The event takes place from noon to 2 p.m.
This will be the first Dunwoody park with a splash pad — and you can be there when the water starts to flow.
The first 100 guests will receive a free frozen pop from King of Pops, plus other giveaways.
At noon, city officials will cut the ceremonial ribbon.
At 12:30 p.m., they’ll push the button to start the splash pad.
According to a press release, Two Bridges is a 5-acre park with the following amenities:
- a 28-ft diameter splash pad
- ADA-compliant playground for kids
- Walking trails through the wooded area along Nancy Creek
- Two picnic pavilions
- Exercise stations
- Bathrooms
The park will eventually tie into the Dunwoody Trailway.
We don’t have any info yet about parking at Two Bridges, but a press release notes that visitors are encouraged to walk or ride bikes to the new park.
Leashed dogs are welcome.
