FREE doughnut alert! Celebrate National Doughnut Day in Atlanta on Friday, June 6th, 2025 with a freebie or deal from a wide variety of doughnut shops.
The food holiday is traditionally celebrated on the first Friday of June.
And the best part is that some of the biggest names in doughnuts will join in the celebration by handing out FREE donuts.
According to Wikipedia and multiple other sources, National Donut Day was originally established in 1938 by the Chicago Salvation Army to honor women who served donuts to soldiers during World War I.

At Duck Donuts, everyone gets a FREE cinnamon sugar donut — in-shop only — on June 6, 2025. You don’t even have to buy anything to get your sweet treat!

Dunkin’ is also offering limited edition merchandise online, starting on June 6th.

The offer was announced on the Facebook page, so we’re monitoring their social media for an announcement.

There will be a whole month of Freebie Fridays in June.
Here’s the schedule.
- Friday, June 13: There’s only one Friday the 13th in 2025, and Shipley is making every dozen a baker’s dozen to celebrate lucky 13 — or if you don’t need a dozen, you can opt for a FREE glazed donut with any purchase.

We don’t have an offer yet for 2025, but we’re watching the Instagram account, where special deals are often announced.
Last year, the Salty Donut offered $10 off dozen packs, plus free delivery thru the Salty app.

♦ Revolution Doughnuts
Revolution Doughnuts opened on National Doughnut Day in 2012, which means they are celebrating their 13th birthday this year. In 2024, they gave away a mini birthday cake donut, with a purchase.
The 2025 deal has not yet been announced — but we’ll update when it is!

We don’t have a 2025 deal yet from this gourmet doughnut shop, which specializes in ultra-decadent flavors.

♦ Sarah Donuts
We haven’t seen a special offer from Sarah Donuts, but some people consider these handmade confections to be the best doughnuts in Atlanta. If you’re near a shop, pop in for some doughnut love or a breakfast sandwich.

♦ Giggle Monsters Craft Donuts
This is the shop that bills itself as “The only local donut brand daily creating from scratch, hand-crafted yummy donuts with monster-size.”
For 2025, Giggle Monsters posted on Facebook, offering a buy-three-get-one-FREE deal.
There are two locations in Canton:

- The Mill on Etowah (225 Reformation Pkwy)
♦ Atkins Park Tavern (Smyrna location)
We don’t have a 2025 offer yet.
Last year, Atkins Park gave away Lousiana-style beignets with entree purchase.

♦ 7-Eleven
We no longer have 7-Eleven stores in the Atlanta metro area, but we’re including it for any readers who may be on the road that day, traveling through neighboring states.
On June 6, 2025, 7-Eleven Rewards members can get a classic glazed donut for just 50 cents, at participating locations.
