Mitcham Farm will host its second annual Lavender Harvest Fest on Saturday, June 10, 2023. Festival hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is FREE.
The event features:
- live entertainment
- you-pick lavender
- you-pick berries
- art market
- food and drink
- soothing spa activities
If you want to head into the lavender field and pick your own lavender stems, you can fill a paper tube for $10, or two tubes for $15.
Scheduled entertainment includes the Atlanta Bluegrass Band (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and a violinist from 1 to 3 p.m.
In keeping with the lavender theme, you’ll be able to enjoy soothing activities and learn about different ways to use lavender.
Special activities include:
- Chair massage ($1 per minute)
- Free workshop: Lavender Recipes for Skin & Beauty (presented at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. )
- Yoga ($10, register in advance)
- Class: Distilling lavender to create essential oils and hydrosols ($30, register in advance)

It is about 35 miles east of downtown Atlanta, near Covington
