UPDATED for December: The Tour de Lights is Mobile Social’s biggest event of the year. You’re invited to decorate your bike with festive lights and join in for a group ride through Atlanta’s intown neighborhoods on Thursday, Dec. 12th.
The ride starts from Woodruff Park in downtown Atlanta at 7 p.m.
You can also meet up with other riders at 6:30 p.m. at Piedmont Park’s Charles Allen gate and bike downtown together.
The ride will be 6 to 8 miles, at a social pace, and is no-drop — which means you’ll never be left behind and an experienced rider will always stay with you.
The ride ends at Eventide Brewing in Grant Park for beer and tacos. There is a $4 beer special for riders.
The Atlanta Bicycle Coalition hosts a Mobile Social group ride on the second Thursday of each month. The ride is FREE to join in. It is a no-drop ride, which means that you’ll never be left behind and you can always count on an experienced rider to stay with you.
Each month, riders meet up at Woodruff Park in downtown Atlanta at 7:00 p.m., for a six to eight mile ride at a social pace. Lights are recommended for the ride home.
According to the Mobile Social Facebook page, this monthly event has three goals:
- to get more people on bikes and encourage diversity
- to explore the city
- to support local businesses, which are often the destinations of the rides
