Free Comic Book Day 2026 features giveaways at these local comic shops on Saturday

FREE Comic Book Day will take place on Saturday, May 2, 2026 — in accordance with its usual date of the first Saturday in May.

All together, 24 comic book titles will be up for grabs at the comic book industry’s most anticipated annual event.

You can browse the titles and covers online.

In the past, guests have been invited to choose up to six FREE titles from those available.

Titles come from well known comic book publishers , including:

• Marvel Comics
• Image Comics
• BOOM! Studios
• Dark Horse Comics
• IDW Publishing
• Dynamite Entertainment

The titles are designed to appeal to a broad range of tastes.
They run the gamut from superhero stories to TV and movie tie-ins, to sci-fi adventures, all-ages tales, and beyond.

In addition, many shops offer other activities or giveaways to coincide with FREE Comic Book Day.
