Stone Mountain Park is bringing back the classic version of the Lasershow that you remember from the ’80s and ’90s!
It will run on select Saturdays in August and September, plus all of Labor Day Weekend.
The dates are listed below.
Best of all — the Classic Lasershow is FREE for those nights!
You may know that when the new Light & Drone Show debuted a few years ago, it came with an additional $5 fee per person to get access to the Memorial Lawn for viewing.
The Classic Lasershow is about 45 minutes long.
That fee will be waived for the special viewings of the Classic Lasershow.
But remember, if you don’t have a Stone Mountain parking pass, you’ll pay $20 to park there.
The price is per vehicle, not per person.

The Lasershow begins around 9:30 p.m. on these select evenings.
These are the 2026 dates:
- Saturday, August 8
- Saturday, August 15
- Saturday, August 22
- Saturday, August 29
- Saturday, September 5
- Sunday, September 6

- Saturday, September 12
About the Classic Lasershow
Debuting in 1983 on the 825-foot-tall granite outcropping, the Classic Lasershow has been a beloved tradition for decades.
The show took a leap forward in 2011 with Mountainvision. The digital projection creates 3-D-like effects without glasses, transforming Stone Mountain into dramatic visuals like a spewing volcano or crumbling rock. The projection, five times the size of an IMAX screen and taller than the Statue of Liberty, offers an unparalleled viewing experience.
After 40 years of illuminating the night sky and delighting audiences of all ages, the iconic Lasershow at Stone Mountain Park has been shelved. This beloved tradition has been a staple in Atlanta, captivating millions of visitors from around the world with its stunning visuals and breathtaking displays.
With the show being outdated and in need of a revamp Stone Mountain Park has decided to bid farewell to the Lasershow and replace it with a state-of-the-art production that is bigger, brighter, and more breathtaking than ever.
The Lasershow does reappear periodically.
