Mommy & Me Storytime is a new outdoor event at The Avenue East Cobb. It is FREE to attend — just bring your blanket or folding chair and meet on the Origins Patio.
Storytelling begins at 10 a.m. on select Wednesdays, and is followed by a kid’s craft activity.
Stay for lunch or grab a treat at one of these Avenue East Cobb eateries:
- Kale Me Crazy (you can sample juice at every Storytime)
- Tin Lizzy’s (kids eat FREE on Wednesdays)
- Smallcakes (4 pack of cupcakes for $12)
- Panera (FREE coffee with the purchase of a pastry, breakfast, or lunch item when you attend Storytime)
* Wednesday, May 5th (storytime)
* Wednesday, May 12th (storytime)
* Wednesday, May 19th (storytime)
* Wednesday, May 26th (music & movement)
While the events are free to attend, capacity is limited, so registration is required.
NOTE that you only need to reserve one ticket for each child over 18 months old. You do NOT need to reserve a ticket for adults or for children under 18 months of age.
Register for Storytime via Eventbrite (no charge or fees)
Register for Music & Movement via Eventbrite
If you make a reservation and your plans change, please notify email@example.com so the spot can be open for another child.
If it rains: The Storytime and Music/Movement events will move indoors to the vacant suite between Lenscrafters and Palm Beach Tan, to the far right of the shopping center.
Music & Movement details are mostly the same as for Storytime — class begins at 10 a.m. on the Origins Patio and you can grab a snack or lunch at the restaurants listed above. Ticket info is also the same (you only need tickets for kids between 2 and 8 years of age), but the reservation link is different.

Earth Day events
Earth Day is Thursday, April 22nd, 2021 and the Avenue East Cobb is celebrating with a FREE fitness class and a chalk art event for kids.
At 10 a.m., you can attend a socially-distanced Barre3 class.
Barre3 is a full-body balanced workout that combines strength conditioning, cardio, and mindfulness.
No experience necessary.
Bring a yoga mat and a pair of handheld weights, if you have them.
Registration is required.
Sign up here. Just find the Avenue East Cobb event in the list and click on it.
The class is about 45 minutes long.
Earth Day for kids
School age kids can have their own Earth Day fun.
Visit the Avenue’s Red Tent for a Chalk The Lot event from 10 a.m. to noon.
There will be sidewalk chalk available for kids to decorate the area with an Earth Day theme.
Each child will receive a reusable, insulated lunch bag, while supplies last.
The chalking area will be gated off but is unsupervised. It will be located in the same parking lot as the fitness class.
