Join the Atlanta Blues Society on a select Sunday each month for a free or low-cost event!
This monthly musical event rotates among various venues around the Atlanta area. Many of the venues are family-friendly — just check the details before heading out with the kiddos.
This month’s location is Route 66, a restaurant and music venue in Johns Creek (6000 Medlock Bridge Road).
About the Atlanta Blues Challenge
The Atlanta Blues Challenge is the Atlanta Blues Society’s competition to select the representatives for the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN.
The acts competing for a spot in Memphis are:
- Menagerie — 1:10 p.m.
- Sam Chung — 1:45 p.m.
- Mandi Strachota — 2:15 p.m.
- Sawgrass Blues Band — 2:45 p.m.
- Let It Rip Band — 3:35 p.m.
- Sweet & Salty Blues Band — 4:15 p.m.
- Red Sugar Blues — 4:55 p.m.
- Trouble Tones — 5:55 p.m.
- Johnny Scales Band — 6:35 p.m.
- Eddie 9V — 7:10 p.m.
- The Garrett Collins Project — 8:10 p.m.
The event will include several raffle items, including a 3-night stay in New Orleans, a Big Egg package worth $1000, passes to several events, and miscellaneous merchandise from sponsors.
The cover charge is $10 for ABS members and $15 for non-members at the door. Cash is preferred!
Food & drink will be available from the venue. It is a large space with plenty of room for everybody and lots of free parking.
