The City of Brookhaven will celebrate Juneteenth with an event on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from 5 to 8 p.m., in Skyland Park.
This event aims to recognize and celebrate the heritage and resilience of the African American community. It is FREE to attend, and family-friendly.
The event will include:
- A Juneteenth proclamation presentation
- 40+Double Dutch Club performance (6 – 7 p.m.)
- Harambee Dance Company (7 – 8 p.m.)
- Face painting
- Book drive and giveaway
- Lynnwood Park Foundation informational table
- An African American-owned food truck – Hungry Hippo Eats
