FREE doughnut alert! Celebrate National Doughnut Day in Atlanta on Friday, June 5th, 2026 with a freebie or deal from a wide variety of doughnut shops.
The food holiday is traditionally celebrated on the first Friday of June.
And the best part is that some of the biggest names in doughnuts will join in the celebration by handing out FREE donuts.
According to Wikipedia and multiple other sources, National Donut Day was originally established in 1938 by the Chicago Salvation Army to honor women who served donuts to soldiers during World War I.

♦ Revolution Doughnuts
Revolution Doughnuts opened on National Doughnut Day in 2012, which means they are celebrating their 14th birthday this year.
The 2026 deal has not yet been announced — but we’ll update when it is!

We haven’t seen a 2026 special offer from Sarah Donuts, but some people consider these handmade confections to be the best doughnuts in Atlanta. If you’re near a shop, pop in for some doughnut love or a breakfast sandwich.

♦ Giggle Monsters Craft Donuts
This is the shop that bills itself as “The only local donut brand daily creating from scratch, hand-crafted yummy donuts with monster-size.”
For 2026, Giggle Monsters posted a teaser on Facebook, but has not yet revealed their special offer.
There are two locations in Canton:

♦ 7-Eleven
We no longer have 7-Eleven stores in the Atlanta metro area, but we’re including it for any readers who may be on the road that day, traveling through neighboring states.
On June 5, 2026, 7-Eleven Rewards members can get a classic glazed donut for just 50 cents, at participating locations.
