To show their patriotic spirit, many restaurants and retailers offer deals and freebies for Independence Day.

Most of these deals have fine print saying they are good at participating locations, so it might be a good idea to call in advance to make sure your preferred location is honoring the deal.

Not all of these deals are just for July 4 — some are also good before and after.
