The Hunchback of Notre Dame will be at the Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville through August 27, 2017.
This looks like it’ll be a powerful night at the theatre. Per the quick summary: “Victor Hugo’s epic tale of a deformed bell-ringer and the woman he loves comes to the stage as a musical, featuring the Disney film’s Academy Award-nominated score, plus new songs by masters of the form: Alan Menken (Disney’s Beauty and the Beast) and Stephen Schwartz (Wicked). Combining the best parts of both the book and the film, The Hunchback of Notre Dame features verbatim passages from Hugo’s gothic novel, as the deformed Quasimodo grapples with society’s cruelty and protects the lovely gypsy Esmeralda, the one woman who shows him kindness.”
