grant park lantern paradeOn Friday, October 21, 2016, head to Grant Park for the Halloween Lantern Parade. It sounds like a fun way to get into the Halloween spirit.

Featuring the Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons, the The Black Sheep Ensemble, & Wasted Potential, the lantern parade steps off at the Grant Park Gazebo at 8:00 p.m., meanders through the park (less than a one-mile route), & loops back to the pavilions. After the parade, stick around for live music by The Savory Kings plus sweet treats & beer.

Be sure to bring your own lantern. Need supplies? The Grant Park Conservancy is selling kits for $15 each. The kits are available at Dakota Blue, Tomatillos, My Friend’s Growler Shop, or Adams Realtors, and each kit includes a lantern, tissue paper, an LED light with batteries, a stick, and instructions.

FYI–Local food trucks, including Mixed Up Burgers & Tex’s Tacos, will be on hand for your pre-parade food needs, so come hungry.
