It’s back! The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will once again present FREE summer concerts in Piedmont Park in 2022.
Two events are planned:
• Wednesday, June 15, 2022
• Wednesday, June 22, 2022
The Concerts in the Park begin at 7:30 p.m., but you’re encouraged to arrive early to get a spot on the lawn.
The performance takes place on the park’s Oak Hill, in the southwest corner of the park. View a site map.
Bring a blanket or low-back chairs.
The program
On June 15, the ASO performs an all-French program.
It includes selections from Bizet’s Carmen, Dukas’ The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and Debussy’s Nocturnes.
On June 22, guest conductor Anthony Parnther and the ASO will perform a program of some of Hollywood’s greatest hits, including music from Back to the Future, King Richard, Call of the Wild, Out of Africa, E.T. and more.
Know before you go
There is limited parking at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens parking deck, adjacent to Piedmont Park. Please avoid street parking in areas marked “Residential only” in the surrounding neighborhoods, as there is a new residential permit policy in effect. View a parking map.
You’re encouraged to ride MARTA (use Arts Center Station), walk, bike, or use a rideshare service. A complimentary bike valet will be available near the Charles Allen Gate Entrance.
You can bring a picnic meal with you — but grills, glass containers, and outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
Food truck vendors will be on site, and beer, wine and cocktails will be available for you to purchase.
Pets are not permitted at this event. However, the Piedmont Park Dog Park will be open.
