If you’ve been thinking about joining Costco, now is a good time to do it.
Costco is currently offering a Groupon sign-up special with extra perks that helps defray what you pay for the membership price.
The Groupon deal allows you to purchase a one-year Gold Star Membership at $65, and get a $45 Digital Costco Shop Card for FREE.
This is basically an 75% OFF deal — you’ll pay full price and then get a credit back for most of it.
The digital Costco Shop Card will be emailed to you within two weeks of your sign-up date.
When you purchase the Gold Star Membership, you’ll also get a second FREE Household Card that can be used by any adult (18+) living at your address.
Another option is the Executive Membership deal.
This costs $130 through Groupon and also comes with the $45 Digital Shop Card.
NOTE:
Only new Costco members are eligible for this sign-up deal. That includes anyone whose former membership expired more than 18 months ago.
If you’re not sure when your membership expired, you probably want to log in to your Costco account online and figure out — rather than purchase the Groupon deal and then find out you’re not eligible for it.
REMEMBER that in one year, your membership will automatically renew at regular price. If you don’t want this, make sure to cancel before your year is up.
