The Fox Theatre’s beloved Coca-Cola Film Series returns this fall with two nights of classic and contemporary horror, featuring the 1920 silent film Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 8 p.m. and The Ring in Concert on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 8 p.m.
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde will transport audiences to the silent-film era with live accompaniment by Fox Theatre in-house organist Ken Double on “Mighty Mo,” the theater’s legendary Möller pipe organ.
Custom-built for the Fox in 1929, this musical instrument is one of the largest and most renowned theater organs in the country.
The Ring in Concert will feature a screening of the acclaimed 2002 psychological thriller, accompanied by a live performance of Hans Zimmer’s score by the Georgia Symphony Orchestra.
Starring Naomi Watts, the film follows journalist Rachel Keller as she investigates a mysterious videotape linked to a series of unexplained deaths.
Composer Hans Zimmer describes the score’s minimalist, unsettling approach as central to the film’s creeping dread and psychological tension.
Released by DreamWorks Pictures in 2002, “The Ring” helped redefine modern horror and remains one of the era’s most influential psychological thrillers.
Tickets for Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde start at $20.50, and tickets for The Ring in Concert start at $52.25.
