Covington Lighting of the Square on November 20th

The city of Covington will host the Lighting of the Square on Thursday, November 20, 2025. The event begins at 6 p.m. and is FREE to attend.

The info below is from last year, because all that’s currently available on the calendar is the date and time — no details. 

There is an incredible music lineup, free S’mores, Santa Claus, and a small fireworks show.

Santa will flip the switch to light up the Square around 7:30 p.m., and then will settle into his chair for visits with children — bring your camera!

The Square will close to traffic at 4 p.m. to create a pedestrian-friendly zone for the event.
