
BackYard Fest takes place on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 6 to 11 p.m.
It is FREE to attend, but you’ll pay for parking if you drive to the event.
It takes place at the Home Depot Backyard, an 11-acre green space located adjacent to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta.
To guarantee access to BackYard Fest, you’ll want to reserve a ticket via Eventbrite.
You can register for up to 4 tickets per Eventbrite account.
The event will include:
Food trucks
Vendor Village
Lawn games
Activities
Entertainment
Movie on the Lawn
Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
Please enter from Soccer Ball Plaza by Gate 1 of Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
You will NOT be permitted to enter at the Home Depot Backyard Bridge or from the Orange Deck.
From 6 to 9 p.m., there will be entertainment and activities — but exact info on these has not yet been released.
Blankets and chairs are permitted.
Tents and umbrellas are not.
You may bring your own food and drinks in small or medium-sized coolers.
Alcohol, large coolers, and glass containers are NOT permitted.
At 9 p.m., there will be an outdoor screening of the movie ATL (rated PG-13).
Movie synopsis:
Four working-class teenagers live in an Atlanta neighborhood where hip-hop music rules and the coolest place to hang out is the local roller-skating rink. As the friends look forward to new horizons after high school, they face challenges on and off the rink that bring about turning points in their lives.

Walk-ups will be accommodated only if space allows.
PLEASE cancel your ticket reservation if it turns you you can not make it to the event.
The event is rain-or-shine, but may be canceled if weather becomes dangerous.
You’ll receive cancellation notices via the email you used to register on Eventbrite.

Getting there on MARTA
To get to The Home Depot Backyard using MARTA, take the Blue or Green rail line to Vine City Station, which is the closest and most direct stop.
From the station, follow the pedestrian bridge straight across Northside Drive to arrive at Gate 1.
Alternatively, you can use GWCC/CNN Center Station (Blue/Green lines), which is also a short walk away.
The Walk: Exit toward the stadium side and use the pedestrian bridge over Northside Drive to walk directly into the backyard area near Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
REMEMBER: You’ll need to enter from Soccer Ball Plaza by Gate 1 of Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
If you’re using a ride share service, have the driver drop you at the Vine City MARTA Station and walk from there.
