Decatur Glassblowing hosts Fiery Fridays: free hot glass demonstrations

Decatur Glassblowing will host a series of Open House events again in 2025. The events have free admission, but there will be items for sale. Event details for each event are just below!

250 Freeman St.
Decatur, Georgia 30030

Parking is limited in the area! There is some street parking nearby, but not a lot — pay attention to the signs.
Consider taking a ride service. The nearest MARTA station is Avondale Station, which is about an 8-minute walk from the event.

NOTE: The event organizers want to remind you that while the events are family-friendly, anyone under 18 must be supervised at all times. The shop has equipment that may be sharp or hot. And the gallery is fully of fragile art pieces that can break if mishandled.

Pumpkin Patch Pop-up

Noon to 5 p.m.

You’ll find a magical world of hundreds of hand-blown glass pumpkins in all sizes — plus other fall-themed items to add to your home decor.

There will be live glassblowing demos by skilled artists, creating glass pumpkins and other works right before your eyes!

13th Anniversary Party Open House

Local glassblowers will present free demonstrations of their art at Decatur Glassblowing’s anniversary party. The event is FREE to attend.

In addition to glassblowing demonstrations, you’ll find food, drinks, and music at the event.
The glass art gallery will be open for viewing, with many items available for purchase.

NOTE: Please review the notes about parking at the top of the page.
While this event is family-friendly, children should be supervised. There are hot and sharp tools in the venue, plus fragile glass items.
