I love this concept–a touch of the macabre + live music = awesome.

On Saturday, June 9, 2018, Tunes from the Tombs returns to Oakland Cemetery. It’s not free to attend the music festival, but it’s fairly cheap to get in–advance tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, & $10 for kids ages 4-17.

During Tunes from the Tombs, musicians will perform amongst the monuments, mausoleums, & gardens at Oakland Cemetery. If you’re heading out for the tunes, here’s the lineup:

Main Stage

  • 1:00 p.m.: The Bitteroots
  • 2:15 p.m.: Caleb Caudle
  • 3:30 p.m.: Heather Gillis Band
  • 5:00 p.m.: AJ Ghent
  • 6:30 p.m.: Drivin’ N Cryin’

North Public Grounds Stage

  • 12:30 p.m.: Michael Zaib
  • 2:00 p.m.: Ansley Stewart
  • 3:30 p.m. Book Club
  • 5:00 p.m.: Mermaid Motor Lounge

Lion Square Beer Garden Acoustic Stage

  • 1:00 p.m.: Greg Fortune
  • 2:15 p.m.: Avery Gipson
  • 3:30 p.m.: Wesley Cook
  • 4:45 p.m.: Caleb Caudle

Gates open at noon, and the festival runs till 8:00 p.m. While you’re there, you can explore Oakland Cemetery, indulge with food truck fare, shop the artist market, & more.

Oakland Cemetery is located at 248 Oakland Avenue, Atlanta.
