Just in time for Valentine’s week, Theatrical Outfit presents Slow Food, now playing at the Balzer Theatre in downtown Atlanta.
This light-hearted comedy is perfect for date night, gals night out, or even a solo outing.
About the show:
Irene and Peter just want a quiet anniversary meal while vacationing in Palm Springs — but the evening goes hilariously wrong when their food doesn’t arrive and a meddling waiter inserts himself into their date. The neurotic server has the couple second-guessing their menu choices, parenting skills, and their very future together. Everything (and nothing) is on the table in this zesty comedy about painfully slow service.
This play is an Editor’s Pick here at Atlanta on the Cheap. We saw it on opening weekend and completely enjoyed it.

The play is 90 minutes with no intermission.

To get the deal, park in the garage and pull a ticket from the machine and take it with you. At the theater, just visit the concession stand, to buy a $7 parking voucher that you’ll use to exit the garage.
There are several other parking lots and decks in the area, all operated by private companies. Fees vary from $5-$10 and can climb higher on nights when there are multiple events occurring downtown.
Street parking is available at metered spaces. Some meters become free after 7 p.m. or on Sundays. Make sure you know the terms when you park, so you don’t get a ticket.
