Target celebrates National Pet Month with free dog or cat kit giveaway on Saturday, May 16th

On Saturday, May 16, 2026, Target is celebrating National Pet Month with a FREE Dog or Cat Giveaway Kit at participating locations — from noon to 4 p.m.

Limit one bag per customer, while supplies last.

The bags will feature food samples from brands like Purina and Sheba. 

During the event, you can also score 20% OFF many pet-care items in-store. 

The giveaway is available at most locations.
