The Piedmont Park Conservancy has announced a dazzling new tradition: a 50-foot holiday tree, lighted menorah, and lighted kinara that will all shine bright over Atlanta, starting this November.
The lighting ceremony is open to all and free to attend.
It takes place on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at 6 p.m. in the Meadow at Piedmont Park.
You’re all invited to gather at sunset to light the display and welcome light, community, and the start of the holiday season under the Atlanta sky.
The display will run from November 23, 2025 to January 4, 2026.
For those who don’t know about other traditions:
- The menorah represents the Jewish Festival of Lights, Hanukkah—a celebration of resilience, hope, and miracles.
- The kinara represents Kwanzaa, honoring African heritage, unity, and the principles that strengthen community.
By including these displays alongside the tree, the Piedmont Park Conservancy honors the diverse traditions that make Atlanta special.
