Calling all gardeners!
The Cobb County Seed Library is back this spring, at four different locations of the Cobb County Public Library.
The Seed Library is a system-wide, community-based initiative designed to promote local gardening and sustainable food practices, by enabling people to get seeds for plants that grow well in our region.
You’ll find seed packets organized by type — including fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers.
You may take up to three packets per day, for your own use in your home garden or landscaping.
Dates for the Seed Library are February 2, 2026 through June 4, 2026 while supplies last.
Most library branches are open Monday thru Saturday.
Last year, over 3600 seed packets went out to local gardeners.
Want to donate seeds?
Cobb Libraries will accept donations of new, unopened seed packets.
Seeds should be labeled clearly with plant variety, date of harvest, and any other relevant information.
Donations can be dropped off at any of the Cobb County libraries (find a branch here)
