Chipotle is celebrating Friday the 13th this June with an unusual promotion that lasts just one hour.
On June 13, 2025 from 3 to 4 p.m., you can get a get a buy-one-get-one-FREE entree — IF you are “tatted like a Chipotle bag.” Confused? Just keep reading, and it will all make sense.
Check out our list of 13 Lucky Things to Do on Friday the 13th
The Chipotle deal is based on tattoos for the simple reason that Friday the 13th is traditionally a day when tattoo parlors offer special discounts and cheap tattoos.
To get the BOGO entree deal, just come in to a participating location between 3 and 4 p.m. on June 13th with a tattoo.
This can mean a real permanent tattoo, a temporary rub-on tattoo, a drawn-on tattoo, or another creative idea that invokes tattoos, as determined at the sole discretion of restaurant staff.
The BOGO deal is limited to five FREE menu items per check and is subject to availability.
Each free item requires the purchase of an entrée of equal or greater value, and may be collected only by a tattoo-wearing customer.

The “Tatted Like A Chipotle Bag” origin story
The term “tatted like a Chipotle bag” stems from an iconic halftime performance when a singer’s tattoos were compared on social media to the artwork on Chipotle’s to-go bags.
Since then, “tatted like a Chipotle bag” has inspired fun, popular memes (see HERE and HERE) for a few examples.
