
The 5th annual Black History Month Parade takes place in downtown Cartersville on Saturday, February 28, 2026 starting at 1:30 p.m.
It is FREE to attend.
The parade will be followed by a Black Business Showcase and Community Resource Fair.
The parade route:
The celebration will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the Tabernacle Baptist Church parking lot (31 Douglas Street) and will travel through the heart of Cartersville, bringing vibrant culture, pride, and unity to the streets.
The parade route will follow Douglas Street to Church Street, then Erwin Street, Cherokee Avenue, Bartow Street, Main Street, and Tennessee Street, making a loop and returning to Tabernacle Baptist.

The parade promises an unforgettable experience, featuring floats, vintage classic cars, sleek motorcycles, eye catching Slingshots, electrifying performances by dance teams, the prestigious Divine Nine organizations, and show-stopping appearances from show-style bands, including:
Brainerd High School Marching Panthers (Chattanooga, TN)
Cedar Grove High School Marching Saints (Ellenwood, GA)
North Clayton High School Mighty Marching Eagles (College Park, GA)
Southwest High School Marching Patriots (Macon, GA)

Following the parade, the community is invited to gather at Friendship Plaza (1 Friendship Plz) for the Black Business Showcase and Community Resource Fair.
It will take place approximately from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will include live music plus a a line dance party with DJ Lah-Shae setting the vibes.
