
Amplify Decatur is a 4-day music festival, taking place around downtown Decatur each year.
It generally includes a handful of free or cheap performances on the Decatur Square, as well as paid admission for other concerts.
The Amplify Decatur events take place from Thursday, June 4 to Sunday June 7, 2026.
This year, most of the concerts require a paid ticket for entry.
BUT, the Friday night concerts are FREE, and the details for them are just below.
The Sundogs and Canyonland concert on Friday night will be the very first one to take place on the newly renovated stage/bandshell.
Reminder: It’s easy to get to the Decatur Square via MARTA!
The Decatur MARTA station is directly adjacent to the festival site.

FREE concert with The Sundogs and Canyonland

The Sundogs Present: The Tom Petty Show, along with Canyonland
About the show:
The Sundogs will be doing their Tom Petty show and Canyonland, featuring Michelle Malone, specializes in music from the southern California canyons (Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, Neil Young, Jackson Browne, James Taylor, etc.)
This will be the very first concert on the NEW downtown Decatur Stage!
Plus, starting at 5 p.m., there will be pop-up musical performances at the restaurants around the Square, including the beer garden at Brick Store Pub, O’Sullivans Pub, and more. (We don’t have a schedule for these yet, but will update if the info becomes available).

Parking in downtown Decatur has become difficult, especially during a festival or event.
The organizers encourage you to use a ride share service or MARTA.

Take MARTA
The Decatur MARTA station is directly adjacent to the festival site.
When you exit the train, you’ll be right at the festival entrance.
Consider parking at the East Lake or Avondale MARTA stations, then riding the train one stop to Decatur Station.

About the festival
Amplify My Community was founded in 2010 and is based in Decatur, Georgia. Its mission is to leverage the universal love of music to fight poverty at the local level.
To date, Amplify has produced more than 120 concerts, and raised and donated more than $575,000 in unrestricted gifts to locally oriented anti-homelessness and poverty-focused organizations — including more tthan $360,000 in Decatur.
Amplify has held concert series in Atlanta, Athens, Decatur, Suwanee, and Duluth, Georgia; Asheville and Charlotte, North Carolina; Nashville, Tennessee; and Charlottesville, Virginia.
It has featured acts such as Indigo Girls, Lucinda Williams, Ben Harper, Jeff Tweedy, Mavis Staples, Blind Boys of Alabama, Old Crow Medicine Show, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, and more.
