Marietta Cobb Museum of Art is a small venue, housed in a historic Post Office near the Marietta Square.

It is the only metro Atlanta area fine arts museum focusing solely on American art. The permanent collection houses works going back to the 18th century. 

This is an affordable outing, with admission just $8 to $10. 
Kids under 6 are FREE. 

Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Tuesday thru Saturday. 
Sunday hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
Closed Mondays.

Free First Sundays

The museum offers FREE admission to all on first Sundays of each month, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

According to the website, these events also offer the opportunity to make a small art project and take it home. 

Opening Night Receptions

The museum celebrates the opening of each new exhibition by hosting an Opening Reception.
These events run from 6 to 8 p.m.
Admission is $10 at the door.

Come for a FREE artist talk by Jackie Dorsey, an award-winning watercolor artist based in Athens, GA. 
There will also be free admission to the museum this day. 

Art of the Cocktail

Friday, November 13, 2026
6 to 8 p.m. 
Browse the galleries, enjoy a specialty cocktail plus full bar offerings, and listen to live music. Light bites may also be served. 
Admission is $10 at the door.
