Krispy Kreme celebrates its 89th birthday with 89¢ dozens (with another purchase) this Friday, July 17th

Krispy Kreme’s story began in 1937 when founder Vernon Rudolph opened the first Krispy Kreme shop in Winston-Salem, N.C., and began making fresh doughnuts.

Drawn by the irresistible aroma drifting onto the street, curious passersby began asking if they could buy hot doughnuts directly from the bakery.

Rudolph responded by cutting a hole in an exterior wall and serving fresh Original Glazed doughnuts right from the sidewalk.

Nearly nine decades later, that simple idea has grown into a beloved global brand with shops in more than 40 countries.

The 89th Birthday Deal
To celebrate its 89th birthday, Krispy Kreme is offering a special deal on Friday, July 17, 2026. 
On that one day only, you can get an Original Glazed dozen for just 89 cents with the purchase of any dozen at regular price at participating stores.

There is a limit of two discounted dozens in-shop and at the drive-thru, and a limit of one discounted dozen for online pickup or delivery.
