
CHaRM Dekalb will host a kids Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event is FREE to attend.

Note that registration is NOT required — it’s voluntary.
This FREE event is designed to inspire kids throughout Metro Atlanta to actively engage in recycling and make everyday choices that support a healthier planet.
Kids will find tons of interactive experiences, including crafts like leaf rubbings and seed starting, plus games that are fun for all ages.
There will be wildlife “ambassadors” on site so kids can learn about our native animals.
Bees and butterflies will also be featured guests on site.
A mobile petting zoo will allow kids to meet and friendly farm animals like goats, pigs, rabbits, sheep, ducks, and chickens.

Agnes Scott College: Enjoy an interactive sustainability activity.
Alliance Theatre: Join an interactive story time or drama workshop.
Atlanta ToolBank: Kids can take part in a hands-on building activity.
Avondale Arts Alliance: Get creative with a fun kids craft activity.
AWARE Wildlife Center: Meet wildlife ambassadors and learn about native animals.
Bee City USA – Decatur, GA: See live bees and try to spot the queen while learning about pollinators.
Carter’s: Learn about Carter’s sustainable children’s clothing line.
Chattahoochee Nature Center: Explore native animal biofacts like fur, feathers, wings and skulls.
Chick-fil-A: Say hello to the Chick-fil-A Cow.
CompostNow: Visit the Compost Kitchen and learn how composting works.
Cricket’s Mobile Petting Zoo: Meet friendly animals including goats, pigs, rabbits, chickens, ducks and sheep.
Decatur Makers: Try a craft or engineering challenge using recycled materials.
DeKalb County Beautification: Play an interactive recycling game that’s fun for all ages.
Delta Air Lines: Look for Widgey the Delta Widget mascot and additional activities from the Delta team.
Fernbank Science Center: Participate in a fun STEM activity.
Food Well Alliance: Enjoy an eco-friendly activity and learn more about composting.
Georgia Aquarium: The Georgia Aquarium team will be onsite with interactive STEM activities.
Georgia State University Bio-Bus: Explore chemistry, water in the environment and weather science through interactive activities.
Georgia Tech Solar Racing: Check out America’s first four-passenger solar-electric vehicle and learn about the team behind it.
Gift of Music: Try out instruments at the Musical Instrument Petting Zoo.
Monarchs Across Georgia / EEA: Learn about Monarch migration and color life-sized butterflies for the Symbolic Monarch Migration project.
No More Liddering: Help create a collaborative community art piece that will live outside CHaRM DeKalb.
Novelis: Meet the Can Man and learn how aluminum cans are recycled.
Osprey Initiative, LLC: Play a recycling sorting game.
PRAXIS3 architecture + multidisciplinary design: Try a hands-on craft inspired by architecture and engineering.
Produce’d: Learn about hydroponics by starting seeds without soil.
