AMC is promoting their new Popcorn Pass. 
This hardly seems like a great deal — you pay $29.99 for the pass, just to get 50% off a large popcorn through the end of 2026. 
But if you buy the pass, you get a FREE large popcorn to get you started. 
This was announced in a Facebook post.

Celebrate National Popcorn Day at Aurora Cineplex with special deals!
The venue is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. for movies and mini-golf on Monday, January 19, 2026, and is featuring these deals:
$ 1.50 Small Popcorn
$ 2.25 Medium Popcorn
$ 3.00 Large Popcorn
Plus one FREE REFILL on all sizes that day.

Movie prices are discounted and range from $6.50 to $10. 
Add a game of mini-golf to your movie for just $5 more.

Cinemark is hosting Bring Your Own Bucket Day on Sunday, January 18 and Monday, January 19, 2026, for National Popcorn Day.

You can bring in any clean container, tote, or bag and Cinemark will fill it with popcorn for just $5.
Your container can be any size, up to 400 ounces, which is the equivalent of two XL popcorn orders.

Rewards members can get a FREE medium popcorn at participating locations on January 19, 2026.

Marcus Theatres and Movie Tavern are “popping off” on National Popcorn Corn Day with a FREE Large Popcorn on January 19, 2026.

Limit one free large popcorn per ticketed guest.

According to the media alert, every theater will have popcorn-themed activities and games, like make-your-own popcorn jewelry, bingo.
As an added treat, every ticket holder will receive one FREE scratch-off card. The scratch-off tickets can be redeemed for concession offers like a free Super or Ultra combo, ICEEs, fountain beverages, candy, and popcorn. The redemption period is Feb. 1 thru Feb. 28, 2026.
