It’s free movie time, y’all: Movies in Central Park is underway.
For the 2017 season, Atlantic Station is featuring films from 1990-2000–my immediate reaction was “Yay! Nostalgia Night at the movies!”, but the longer I look at the schedule, the more I wonder if these films are now considered “classics.” Gen-Xers, did we officially cross over into old? #notready
If you’re not familiar with Movies in Central Park, you can grab a blanket or a lawn chair, pack a picnic, & hang out in Central Park to watch a free flick on Thursday evenings all summer long.
Here’s the lineup for this week & the rest of the season:
- June 1: Fried Green Tomatoes
- June 8: The Fugitive
- June 15: The Little Rascals (1994)
- June 22: Sabrina
- June 29: Twister
- July 6: As Good As It Gets
- July 13: Pleasantville
- July 20: 10 Things I Hate About You
- July 27: No Movie
- August 3: Miss Congeniality
Movies starts at dusk. Keep an eye out for Movies in Central Park dining deals at participating Atlantic Station restaurants, which will help you save a bit while you’re there if you’re not in the mood to bring your own eats.
As always, be sure to check Atlantic Station’s Facebook page for last-minute updates in the event of inclement weather.
