Not familiar with the work? Per the summary: “As Frederic enters the rank of full pirate at the end of his apprenticeship, he and his fellow pirates court the daughters of Major-General Stanley. This sets off a hilarious course of riotous events that pit Frederic against his pirate clan. The Pirates of Penzance is a rollicking show with serious operatic chops. Seán Curran will direct this exciting interpretation of a Gilbert & Sullivan classic. David Agler will conduct. Bass Kevin Burdette, known for his energy and comedic range, sings the role of the Pirate King in his Atlanta debut.” The Pirates of Penzance will be sung in English.
