christmas_tree7On Thursday, November 30, 2017, head to Marietta Square for the Christmas Tree Lighting event.

The festivities begin at 4:00 p.m. with performances by local school choruses. Santa arrives at 5:20 p.m., & he’ll light the tree at 6:00 p.m. While you’re in the square, it’s a good time to shop local & get unique gifts for everyone on your list. I’ll be heading out to get a few cute gifts I spotted at Lizards & Lollipopz, Eddie’s Trick Shop, & Doodlebugz, plus I’ll be picking up a few sweet treats & sodas at Rocket Fizz.

The Marietta Christmas Tree Lighting will take place in Glover Park. Parking is free on the streets in the Square, in the lot at the corner of Mill St & N. Marietta Parkway, and in the Cobb County parking deck off Waddell and Haynes St.
